Novak Djokovic Competes in 2023 Australian Open

According to reports, Novak Djokovic has arrived in Australia for the first major of 2023.

The 21-time Grand Slam champion is back in Australia a year after being deported over the COVID-19 vaccine.

Djokovic was banned from Australia for three years after losing a high-stakes legal battle over his vaccination status, but he will compete at next month's Australian Open.

Serbia missed the United Cup because Djokovic didn't enter, so the burgeoning tennis power didn't have the ranking clout to get in.

Additionally, it means that Djokovic will begin his campaign in Adelaide at the start of the new year.

After the Serb's last tour, which was full of trouble, Tennis Australia CEO Craig Tiley said he hopes local fans will be happy to see Djokovic back.
